Major duties

You will develop and deliver nutrition education related to supplementation that complies with the Department of Defense (DoD) dietary supplement program. You will develop and deliver nutrition education presentations, demonstrations, or events on topics related to nutrition for performance that occur inside and outside of the performance center. You will develop and teach non-clinical nutrition education and cooking classes for optimal performance of families, staff, and other authorized users. You will create performance-based digital and educational content such as articles, social media messages, webinars. You will assess and analyze dietary practices, body composition, and energy intake and expenditures of Marine athletes in the context of operational performance and health. You will implement standardized nutrition education with a focus on optimal nutrition recovery from illness or injury and ensure Semper Fit protocols are followed.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning, coordinating and delivering services focused on nutrition and weight management preventative and intervention services. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
