SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY
What you'd do
You will serve as a Supervisory Interdisciplinary in NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY PANAMA CITY FL.
Major duties
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinate staff; sets and adjusts short-term priorities; and schedules work completion. You will provide advice, counsel, or guidance to employees on both work and administrative matters. You will plan, develop, and implement a broad environmental protection program and ensuring environmental compliance in all environmental media for FEC regional installations that comprise the Installation Command. You will be implementing environmental policy and providing environmental program management support to the regional installations, tenants and operational units. You will ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local environmental regulations.
What you need to qualify
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinating regulatory compliance for the command while managing environmental programs, as well as interpreting environmental laws, regulations and policies to ensure technical compliance with regulations Serve as the primary consultant on environmental matters (e.g. air, land, water pollution control), interface with federal/government, command personnel to ensure a safe and healthy environment, and oversee the development and maintenance of a broad and progressive Environmental Management System. Preparing and submitting programming, budgeting, and execution information for the Environmental Division using the Environmental Program Requirements Web, as well as directing investigations of environmental compliance to mitigate issues found. Developing command policies, instructions, and notices to ensure compliance. Coaching and mentoring personnel to accept changes in procedures and policies in light of organizational conflict, competing objectives, or resource limitations will also be the responsibility of this supervisory position.
