HOUSING MANAGER
What you'd do
You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGER in the Commander Navy Region Southwest (CNRSW) of NAVAL AIR WEAPONS STATION CHINA LAKE.
Major duties
You will assist with enforcing directives, instructions and procedures for the accomplishment of housing inspections and provide guidance to lower graded housing employees. You will develop working relationships with local area realtors, property managers, and housing boards which enables hard-to-find information to be made accessible to military service members. You will independently investigate and resolve a variety of complex occupants concerns and complaints related to housing facilities, other occupants, and habitability conditions and recommends solutions to controversial situations. You will develop internal operating procedures relating to housing maintenance/repairs and prepare and submit work requests for accomplishment. You will plan, schedule, and assign work based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty, the requirements, and the capabilities of subordinates. You will review current expenditures for housing operations and maintenance functions, estimates cost, and develop recommendations for resources to accomplish. You will make recommendations for such personnel actions and appointments, promotion, selection or reassignment for the organization.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing management procedures and general business principles and practices related to management and administration to resolve concerns (i.e. Military Families and Unaccompanied Military). Experience maintaining and controlling expenditures to assure that limitations are observed. Experience developing recommendations for resources to accomplish the management of operations. And experience informing employees of important aspects of personnel management programs.
