What you'd do

About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), with a duty location of Yuma Proving Ground, AZ. (merit) Serves as the primary assistant to the Chief, Maintenance Division, Yuma Test Center (YTC) in providing administrative support for the organization.

Major duties

Develop methods and procedures for organizing and maintaining communications, studies, and reports. nation, proper signatory level, etc. Determine coordination required; establishes and monitors suspense's. Create documents and spreadsheets from own initiative for information control, processing and display. Prepare and control travel orders and special travel orders. Schedule the use of the Command Conference Rooms. Advise offices on applicable administrative methods and regulations. Operates office automation equipment and uses a variety of software applications (current).

Current Civilian Employees of the Organization In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements and Typing proficiency requirement described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience providing administrative support services to personnel and utilizing automated computer system to prepare documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-06. OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Communications or Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. Required Typing Proficiency: This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on 3 or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Clerical Communication Computer Literacy Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent GS-06.
