What you'd do

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (OA) in the Classification/Staffing Advisory Branch of MARINE CORPS BASE. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-13001663-26-KTP. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement.

Major duties

You will provide staffing assistance and support functions to include processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other applications to complete assigned tasks. You will perform an array of clerical and administrative duties in support of the Director of Staff. You will coordinate pre-employment physicals and pre-employment drug tests for serviced population, coordinates and schedules courtesy physicals and/or drug testing for other agencies. You will respond to routine inquiries on procedures for filing applications for vacancies, filing for vacancies at other commands, timeliness, documentation and signature requirements.

What you need to qualify

GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: reviewing requirements and processing personnel actions in accordance with regulations, facilitating new employee onboarding/hiring process, entering and retrieving data utilizing human resources information systems such as DCPDS, USA Staffing, TWMS or similar systems, supporting the position classification process in making minor edits to position descriptions, or performing electronic recordkeeping of staffing/classification documents. GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing customer service, working with automated databases or human resources information systems, maintaining personnel or administrative records, processing personnel or administrative actions in accordance with regulations.
