SUPERVISORY TRAINING SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Production Resources Department (Code 900), Production Workforce Development & Resource Manager (900B), Consolidated Training Division (Code 900T), Non-Nuclear Training Branch (Code 900T.1) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Major duties
You will plan and make work assignments for Training Instructors/Specialists and other training personnel within the Command. You will assign the needs for research, development, concurrence, and approval of training courses. You will direct specific training needs for assigned shops. You will approve the training schedule and allocation of required facilities and equipment.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of education and training principles, techniques and practices. Experience coordinating work processes and procedures of various trades. Experience utilizing the organizational makeup of the Shipyard to better direct those he/she leads in efficient course concurrence processes. Experience approving training schedules and allocation of required facilities and equipment.
