THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPORT SERVICES SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1595P02 and is part of the PA Deputy Chief of Staff G6, National Guard. 1 or more Position(s) may be hired against this Announcement.

Major duties

As a SUPPORT SERVICES TECHNICIAN, GS-0342-09, you will support official records and information management programs and initiatives. Implement records management with directorates and units within the installation and/or state. Conduct and/or facilitate specialized training sessions and briefings on records/information management. Serve as the installation and/or state Privacy Act Officer and Freedom of Information Act / Privacy Act Program Management Officer. Execute plans, policies, and objectives for automated records management program administration. Identify areas of improvement based on policy issuance, higher-level directives, and new initiatives. Conduct studies of installation and/or state to validate essential business operations processes performed, with a specific focus on information technology (IT) solutions and applications relative to electronic records management. Serve as an Assistant Printing and Publications Control Officer, responsible for providing guidance and input in order to carry out the provisions of the installation and/or state Publishing and Printing Program. Assist in leading the installation and/or state Printing and Reproduction Program and/or Facility. Serve as an subject matter expert in the management of the publications and forms development process. Provide input to the installation and/or state field printing program regarding the limitations and capabilities of all types of commercial printer and multi-function devices (MFD). Serve as the Assistant Mail Control Manager for the installation and/or state. Performs other duties as assigned.

APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Non-Bargaining Position AOC 1: NG Employees at the Deputy Chief of Staff G6 AOC 2: NG employees in the Deputy Chief of Staff G6 AOC 3: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 4: All service members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (This includes M-Day Soldiers, Temporary Technicians and AGR Personnel) Military Grades: ENLISTED E1-E6 The supervisor for this position is Mr. Dennie *NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in administrative, professional, technical, or other work that provided knowledge of support services. Knowledge of administrative methods and procedures used in planning, organizing work, and skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for support service functions required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved. Experience planning and directing a variety of clerical operations. Experience using methods and procedural steps, and working under general instructions to meet the objectives of support services programs. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
