Major duties

You will serve as an engineering technical expert on the coordination and correlation processes and instructions, and launcher system and various subsystem interfaces. You will serve as a branch engineering technical expert on Risk and Opportunity Management and the associated processes and instructions. You will represent SSP at higher echelon Navy and DOW activities or in negotiations with other activities as well as with SSP branches as required to ensure the sustainment of SSP's mission. You will draft, analyze, integrate, review and provide recommendations to Senior Strategic Systems Program (SSP) Leadership for milestone and other documentation in accordance with Government, DOW and Navy regulations. You will provide guidance to program managers on developing, documenting and briefing risks/opportunities for programs and support the management of the branch safety efforts associated with life-cycle support for cognizant systems and equipment. You will deliver Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) launcher capability on sea-based and land-based platforms as needed to meet CPS Program objectives.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing technical program management, test and evaluation, systems engineering, or technical baseline management for a Navy platform or weapon system.
