Located in historic downtown Charleston, SC, the Ralph H. Major duties

Duties to include but not limited to: Provides day-to-day guidance, technical oversight, and on-the-job instruction to Telehealth MSA/MAA to ensure accuracy and compliance with VHA standards. Provides full staff assistance on administrative matters including clinic scheduling; maintenance and evaluation of medical documentation records; and assuring legal requirements for care. Assigns and distributes work to a team of MSA/MAA based on priority and workload. Directly supports the Supervisory Program Analyst and top management team in planning, organizing, and evaluating telehealth program operations, including performance concerns, administrative reporting, and program development. Develops and deliver trainings to MSA/MAA on telehealth scheduling procedures, Vista/CPRS/ISS functions and clinic management protocols. Identifies process improvement opportunities and implements strategies to streamline workflows and increase efficiency. Participates in program planning and performance improvement initiatives supporting the Telehealth Program The selectee for this position will physically be located at our Montague Ave. Telehealth Building. What you need to qualify

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/20/2026. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-9 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-7. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience GS-09 To qualify for the GS-09 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level or higher in Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience examples include but not limited to: Analyzes and evaluates administrative program requirements; Prepares, processing, revising, and maintaining electronic hardcopy correspondence, files, records, forms, reports, and other documentation; and Trains users on hardware and software applications. OR Education Substitution for Experience: (Copy of transcripts required)Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. Must possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate level education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR Combination of Education and Experience: (Copy of transcripts required)Possess an equivalent combination of successfully completed graduate education and specialized experience, as described above, which meets the total qualification requirement for the GS-07 grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: This work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.
