What you'd do

You will serve as a Lead Supply Management Specialist (Inventory Auditor) in the INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY DIVISION, MRO LOGISTICS DEPT of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Major duties

You will lead the physical inventory accuracy program, develop annual and quarterly audit plans, refine audit methodologies, and coordinate schedules with various internal departments You will analyze systemic issues affecting inventory accuracy, evaluate internal controls, and develop corrective action plans to address deficiencies. You will prepare and submit formal audit reports, brief leadership on findings, and serve as a subject matter expert on inventory accuracy and internal controls. You will lead a team to perform physical inventories, location audits, and condition assessments of materials. You will investigate and reconcile complex discrepancies between physical counts and Navy ERP (SAP) records.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following duties: 1) Performing inventory audits, reviewing internal controls, and supporting audit readiness 2) Conducting physical inventories, location validations, and condition assessments, 3) Reviewing supply and production data to identify discrepancies and determine probable causes, 4) Demonstrating knowledge of FIAR standards, DoD audibility requirements, and NAVSUP/NAVAIR audit policies, and 5) Preparing audit reports summarizing findings, contributing factors, and recommending correction actions.
