What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Logistics Life Cycle Management Division (N44), Logistics Department (N4), Director Maritime Operations (DMO), Military Sealift Command (MSC) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

Major duties

You will provide government and contract operated (GOGO and GOCO) ship class logistics life cycle management (e.g. logistics type desk). You will provide ship class logistics life cycle sustainment plans. You will provide logistics maintenance support. You will provide maintenance material coordination. You will provide equipment recapitalization logistics support. You will provide NAVSUP/DLA supply system interface (Platform). You will provide part obsolescence and diminishing manufacturing source support. You will provide repairable item management. You will provide equipment sparing and inventory effectiveness. You will provide implementation of the DOD item unique identifier (IUID) program.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing shipboard equipment, equipment maintenance, and associated logistics support requirements such as MSC integrated logistics support (ILS) requirements and item unique identifier (IUD) are implemented in all ship repair, equipment alterations and procurements, and ship operating and maintenance contracts. Experience monitoring and reviewing maintenance work package development and executions for configuration management and associated logistics support changes and impacts. Experience implementing shipboard configuration and supply management processes and procedures in an automated environment. Experience developing, maintaining, and implementing program and class life-cycle logistics sustainment plans and contractual requirements for government owned ships managed under both government-operated or contract-operated business models. Experience monitoring and assessing performance measures, logistic readiness, contract compliances, shipyards, vendors, shipboard staff in the execution of ILS, supply management, and the configuration of data management processes ensuring that performance standards and contract requirements are met.
