What you'd do

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of COMNAVREG SE JAX.

Major duties

You will analyze financial management control procedures to implement process improvements for operational effectiveness. You will review data to verify the accuracy of operational and financial performance metrics. You will evaluate program plans and budget issues. You will provide advice on effective methods for use of funds to support organizational plans. You will review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as a financial analyst for Budget Execution, coordinating budget execution among Region Program Directors/managers/analysts and senior management; 2) Assisting upper management with preparation of budget exhibits and formulation, supports routine financial reporting and resolution of problems (e.g. unmatched transactions, reconciliations, problem payments); 3) Providing financial department findings/information on financial audit and program review; and 4) Planning work, setting priorities and scheduling work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect on regular and recurring work; seeking to improve production and quality of work.
