THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1788000 and is part of the ME 101st Operations Support Flight, National Guard.
Major duties
This position is located in the Intelligence Directorate of an ANG Air Operations Group. Its purpose is to ensure that the overall Intelligence personnel training program for AOG augmentation of the Gaining Command's Aerospace Operations Center (AOC) meets the requirements set forth inapplicable policy and instructional regulations and agreements. As a recognized expert among the intelligence operations specialists of the group, the incumbent exercises technical oversight over the training program and represents the Intelligence Director in conferences and coordination activities as required. The incumbent exercises in-depth knowledge of the operational needs of the Gaining Command AOC in maintaining close coordination with the Gaining Command and ensuring that required intelligence training for all Group personnel meets the needs and requirements of the Gaining Command. This position requires military membership. It is designated for National Guard officer incumbency only. The incumbent provides subordinate guidance and team leadership to NDS and DS employees. Incumbent plans, organizes, manages, and performs duties necessary to accomplish intelligence operations functions in support of programs essential to state Air National Guard daily operations, training, and readiness missions. Fosters an environment conducive to teaming among service providers and customers to meet state Air/Army National Guard requirements. MAJOR DUTIES: 1. Incumbent provides Intelligence-specific inputs, describing training objectives for intelligence personnel and required Intelligence-related topics for Operations, Communications, Resources, and Support personnel, to the overall Group training program. Identifies topics for training briefs. Participates in the development of the briefs for presentation to unit members, focusing on the integration of intelligence processes and products into the Air Tasking Order (ATO) production, execution, and combat assessment cycle. Monitors Intelligence personnel Initial Qualification Training (IQT), Mission Qualification Training (MQT), and Continuation Training (CT). Monitors the training certification and evaluation programs for adherence to training regulations and policies. Oversees and assists lower-graded specialists in the development and implementation of intelligence training plans, lesson plans, exercises, evaluation standards, and other training materials. Ensures all Intelligence Directorate personnel are trained and certified in required aspects of the Air Operations Center. Incumbent exercises a complete and thorough knowledge of Intelligence specialties and associated duties and contributions in the Air Operations Center war-fighting effort and functions as the Unit expert in the disciplines of collection asset planning and weapons delivery considerations, and target analysis and development. Manages training records for assigned personnel. Evaluates members' training and conducts trend analysis, recommending changes in priority as needed to satisfy essential group and individual training requirements. Coordinates training requirements with Gaining Command, Air Intelligence Agency (AIA), Air Combat Command (ACC), Numbered Air Forces (NAFs), and National level intelligence agencies to integrate Group level intelligence training topics with emerging Air Operations Center intelligence requirements. Coordinates with Air Education and Training Command (AETC), National Guard Bureau, (NGB), and Command and Control Warrior School to ensure Unit intelligence personnel can attend courses required for skill development in mission-essential AOC positions. Works with Group intelligence personnel and external agencies to develop training exercises to certify intelligence personnel in wartime duties. Evaluates individual training needs and ascertains the best means for each individual to attain force-level position certification in the AOC Weapon System. This is correlated in concert with Gaining Command. Forecasts long- and short-term training shortfalls and determines their potential impact on the group's combat capability. Develops strategies to avert shortfalls and minimize their impact to overall group training efforts. Reviews Joint and Service Doctrine, Gaining Command training objectives, mission requirements, and Air Force Directives to ensure group training adheres to current U.S. doctrine. Establishes training priorities based on mission requirements. Reviews exercise requirements and personnel readiness reports to determine best training opportunities for Unit intelligence personnel. Coordinates individual assignments and supports Unit involvement in live and simulated exercises. Carries out specific assignments involving close coordination with NGB, Gaining Command, ACC, and other Department of Defense (DOD) agencies]. Performs other duties as assigned.

Military Grades: E-7 AND BELOW Compatible Military Assignments: 1N0X1 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports.
