What you'd do

About the Position: The U.S. Army Garrison at West Point, located at America's oldest continuously occupied military post in the Hudson River Valley. The Garrison provides support to the U.S. Military Academy and the West Point community. The Department of Public Works (DPW), maintains and enhances the installation's infrastructure. The Garrison community has its own housing, hospital, and recreational facilities, offering a rewarding work environment just 50 miles from New York City.

Major duties

Provides general instructions, standard procedures, overall priorities and who rely on the incumbent to control work operations and accomplish an adequate quantity and quality of work. Assures safety and housekeeping practices are observed. Inspects completed work for quality and work order requirements. Assign work to trouble shoot electronic equipment using hand tools. Observes work in progress to anticipate and resolve problems; reassigned personnel and coordinate work among the workforce and with other supervisors to maintain progress and to meet schedules.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to Lead or Supervise as an ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR performing common reporting of possible or actual work delays to higher level supervisors.
