What you'd do

You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NVSUPPACTMID SOUTH.

Major duties

You will review design drawings and evaluate analytical engineering reports to determine corrective actions and provide guidance. You will conduct inspections of real property assets and develop written detailed analysis of facilities’ conditions. You will document facility deficiencies and initiate corrective repair action. You will develop graphs, charts, and other visual aid presentation aids covering program performance, fund utilization, and budgetary requirements. You will utilize mathematics for computations involving analysis and estimates of facility projects.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applied comprehensive knowledge of facility management principles, NAVFAC standards, and building codes to develop and execute long-range sustainment, restoration, and modernization plans for operational support centers; 2)Utilized analytical skills to conduct in-depth Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs), leveraging technical knowledge of facility management databases (e.g., Maximo) to document structural deficiencies and initiate corrective action packages; 3) Exercised technical skill in interpreting architectural and engineering (A&E) design drawings and blueprints to develop complete requirement packages, including accurate scoping and independent government cost estimates for Class I and II real property projects.
