What you'd do

You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the PLANS, POLICIES, AND OPERATIONS DIVISION of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Major duties

You will serve as a subject matter expert and project manager responsible for planning, developing, managing, and executing the Department of Defense (DoD) Non-Lethal Weapons (NLW) Program communication and engagement strategy. You will coordinate the DoD NLW Program communication engagement strategy with the Joint Intermediate Force Capabilities Office (JIFCO) staff, program stakeholders, and other higher headquarters, as required. You will identify strategic communication and public affairs products, tools, and associated resources needed to document and implement the DOD NLW Program communication strategy. You will assess program areas for current and future trends and recommend programs to fit projected trends. You will manage assigned resources to include resource prioritization in support of strategy implementation.

What you need to qualify

GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing a public affairs program for a segment of a major organization, government, or major company entity. GS-13 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
