SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/PLCYPLN)
What you'd do
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/PLCYPLN) in the G6 Department, Systems Management Division of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.
Major duties
You will lead and supervise a team of Information Technology professionals by assigning work, setting priorities, evaluating performance, and fostering employee development. You will serve as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and principal cybersecurity advisor to senior leadership on enterprise Information Assurance and risk management matters. You will develop, implement, and oversee enterprise-wide cybersecurity and Information Assurance programs that protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems. You will monitor, assess, and ensure compliance with Department of War (DoW), Marine Corps, and organizational cybersecurity policies, standards, and accreditation requirements. You will direct cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, security audits, and the certification and accreditation of enterprise information systems. You will collaborate with stakeholders to integrate cybersecurity requirements into system planning, design, development, implementation, and lifecycle management. You will oversee contractor performance, manage technical requirements, and provide strategic recommendations to improve operational effectiveness and mission support. You will develop cybersecurity policies, Continuity of Operations (COOP) and disaster recovery plans, and provide executive-level guidance to support secure and resilient enterprise operations.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading cybersecurity efforts under the Risk Management Framework (RMF), including system authorization and continuous monitoring to ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements (1.5 years). Managing and maintaining authorization packages in eMASS, coordinating with validators and assessors throughout the authorization process (1.5 years). Demonstrates the ability to advise senior leadership, including CIOs, Authorizing Officials (AOs), and O-6/GS-15-level personnel, on cybersecurity and risk management matters. Experienced in leading and coordinating cross-functional teams consisting of Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), Information System Security Managers (ISSMs), and Information System Security Engineers (ISSEs) to support organizational objectives. Identifying and analyzing complex problems, conducting research, summarizing findings, and developing well-supported recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making.
