What you'd do
About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Fort Meade, MD.
Major duties
Employs functional and programmatic knowledge to define and refine and update the KM organization structure. Maintains and draws on lessons learned to refines guidance materials to facilitate optimal use of KM assets to support CTMO's information management objectives and overall operations to include assurance or Records Management Requirements. Leverages functional expertise and programmatic knowledge to identify cognizant decision-makers guaranteeing time sensitive requests are prioritized appropriately with Senior Leadership. Highlights issues where problems are persistent and additional resources may be required for leadership's attention, along with proposed corrective courses of action. Assumes personal responsibility for facilitating high-priority and time-sensitive taskers, as assigned. Works with supporting system administration SMEs to perform continuing assessments of KM tool and asset utilization. Develops multi-modal ways to meet such needs using combinations of standards, business processes, and technology tools. Monitors implementation solution benefits and captures key measures of success to assess the extent to which anticipated benefits are realized and makes recommendations for further refinements as indicated.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1. Maintaining guidance materials to ensure compliance with Record and Information Management requirements; 2. Utilizing internal and external task management systems such as Workload Management System (WMS) or Enterprise Task Management Solution System (ETMS2); 3. Collaborating with staff members to carry out assessments on the agency knowledge management tools such as Sharepoint.
