LEAD SECURITY ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION)
What you'd do
You will serve as a LEAD SECURITY ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the Public Safety Function, and serves as Naval District Washington's (NDW) Pass and Identification Assistant of NSA ANNAPOLIS SECURITY DETACHMENT.
Major duties
You will receive calls, greet visitors, and direct to appropriate office or person needing their attention and/or action. You will maintain files, revises and disposes of files in accordance with governing regulatory procedures You will assist in distribution runs of mail and supplies. You will estimate and report on expected time of completion of work and maintain records of work accomplishments and time expended and prepare production reports as requested. You will give on the job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Oversee the preparation of issuing and tracking Security Access Badges for installation and tenant commands; 2.) Approve access rosters and verify updates are posted promptly at approved access points; 3.) Utilize appropriate Customer Service skills insuring needs are met in a timely manner. 4.) Compose routine correspondence relating to the physical security policies of Command and Tenant Commands; and 5.) Maintain files, revise and dispose of files in accordance with governing regulatory procedures.
