LEAD REGIONAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE DISPATCHER (OA)
What you'd do
You will serve as a Lead Regional Emergency Response Dispatcher (OA) in the Emergency Management Department of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII.
Major duties
You will lead three or more Emergency Response Dispatchers in completion of daily functions directly reporting to the RDC Supervisor. You will determine the response agency and services to be rendered in accordance with established guidelines based on the nature of the emergency. You will verify the location and call back number for a medical patient and determine the severity of the emergency situation utilizing the EMD checklist. You will utilize computer databases to access and secure security areas, recall logged events, track and relay information on special operations You will track location of assigned units, alarm testing in progress, and status of emergency responses.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following specialized experience: 1) Processing and recording pertinent data for incoming emergency and non-emergency calls. 2) Dispatching the appropriate responding fire, ambulance and police units.3)Knowledge and experience operating 9-1-1 systems to include Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), radio dispatch equipment, recording devices and multi-function telephones. 4) Possess a strong foundation in emergency dispatching, demonstrating critical decision making and skills that support effective communication and multi-tasking.
