Major duties

Assists FSWB leadership with food and beverage. Food and beverage activities include, but are not limited to snack bars, catering, vending, beverage carts, contracts and any other operations related to food and beverage base wide. Assists in directing day-to-day operation that provides food and beverage service. Performs related support duties required to include ordering supplies, cost menu cards, stocking, inventory, and food handling. Conducts inspections for safety, food storage, and sanitation. Performs food service quality evaluations. Identifies new equipment times to bring into the food service system. Operates vehicle to pick up supplies, run errands, etc. Responsible for operation's cleanliness, sanitation and compliance with AF health and safety regulations. Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Required to collect money, operate a cash register, POS and prepare documentation for cash accountability. Issue cash drawer, completes cash reports, and make daily deposits. Will be required to assists cooking while needed. Opens and closes the facility as required. Checks work in progress to ensure compliance with established methods and reports progress of work to the supervisor. Follows established operating policies and procedures. Adheres to established policies to provide above average recreational facilities. Works under the supervision of an FSWB. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in and knowledge of methods and procedures relating to food preparation and presentation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club, or similar food activity. Ability to follow oral and written instructions, work safely, and do simple arithmetic. Knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment characteristics of various foods, and the ability to season food and decide when foods are done is required. Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be 21 years of age.
