What you'd do

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a READINESS SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D2024000 and is part of the KS Joint Forces Headquarters, National Guard.

Major duties

As a GS-0301-09, READINESS SPECIALIST, you will provide oversight, planning, interpretation, application of policy, final review and validation of subordinate products for presentation to senior leadership, and implementation guidance to lower echelon units and commands. Work is to be performed in the areas of Mobilization Readiness to include liaising directly with the assigned Mobilization and Demobilization Station of a unit; the corresponding Training Support Battalion (TSB); respective Army Regional Command (1A); the respective Mobilization Brigade; and internal mobilization station tenant agencies.. Perform other duties as assigned.

What you need to qualify

Military Grades: E4 through E8 Compatible Military Assignments: 42A GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures.
