What you'd do

You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Enhanced Securities Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Major duties

You will oversee and provide continuity of enhanced security management for facility, personnel, document control, equipment, and visitor control in complex multi-level security environments. You will ensure that all documentation, data and technology is protected in accordance with pertinent law, policy, guidance, and authorities. You will work with the Command on local interpretation of policy and implementation of new developments and advancements in the Enhanced Security field. You will develop training and other mechanisms for ensuring both the security workforce and the customer base are enabled to keep our nation’s program information secure.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience at the journeyman level Government Special Security Officer (GSSO) and/or Special Security Representative (SSR) supporting complex, multi-level security special programs in accordance with policies, programs and procedural requirements is required. Experience with sanitization, safeguarding, processing and storing and destroying sensitive classified information. Journeyman level experience in the security compliance inspection process, Security Education Training development and delivery and security administration (standard operating procedures, inventory, personnel access process, etc.). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
