OPERATIONS TEST SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as an OPERATIONS TEST SPECIALIST in the RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT GROUP, WEAPONS & ENERGETICS DEPT, WEAPON SYSTEMS INTEGRATED PRODUCTS DIV, PROJECT SECURITY TEST SUPPORT BR of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Major duties
You will will be a Subject Matter Expert in both Laboratory Management and Test Operational Support such that they can smoothly integrate their knowledge of programs, equipment, and requirements to support both laboratory and testing requirements. You will interpret and develop guidance for new and developing Weapons and/or programs. You will manage and oversee equipment, including functional status and continuous update/improvement of processes and procedures along with the physical configuration of equipment utilized in the labs. You will create annual lab budget/ lab annual plan, allocate resources to customers; execute lab budget and plan, manage and distribute procurement tasking; and manage lifecycle of laboratory equipment.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Leading and managing complex laboratory operations and test support activities for advanced weapons programs within multi-level security environments, including Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs); 2) Demonstrated expertise in interpreting national security guidelines to develop and implement local policies; 3) Managing equipment lifecycles (including COMSEC, Period Maintenance Inspections, and calibration tracking); 4) Experience directing interdisciplinary teams; 5) Troubleshooting technical and logistical anomalies; 6) Executing secure data transfer and transportation plans; 7) Acting as a primary liaison to influence and negotiate facilities, security, and IT requirements with senior stakeholders.
