What you'd do

Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Food and Beverage; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations command (CNIC); NBK Bremerton

Major duties

Directs, assigns, coordinates, and oversees work of subordinate supervisors, managers, team leaders and employees Assigns work based on priorities and employee capabilities Conducts annual employee performance reviews Recruits and participates in selecting subordinate positions Works closely with MWR director, Regional MWR Fitness and Recreation Program Manager and the Regional MWR Business Activities Manager on planning, programming, budgeting, tracking and execution of Category A, B and C programs Develops NAF and APF budgets for review and approval Ensures fire, safety and sanitation, security and environmental compliance Other duties as assigned

What you need to qualify

Knowledge of DoD and Navy policies, regulations and procedures pertaining to the planning, budgeting, funding and recreations management Ability to analyze and prepare clear, concise, and technically sound reports related to work within assigned installation Knowledge of CNIC EEO policy and procedures Skill in interpersonal relations and negotiation Ability to perform the full range of supervisory duties Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
