What you'd do

YOU WILL SERVE AS THE PMA-231 E-2D BLOCK II ASSISTANT PROGRAM MANAGER FOR SYSTEMS ENGINEERING (APMSE). LEAD THE TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT FOR THE HIGH-PROFILE ACAT I BLOCK II PROGRAM IN THE SYSTEMS ACQUISITION GROUP, SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, AIR PLATFORM SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DIVISION, PEO(T) PROGRAM BRANCH OF NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. .

Major duties

You will serve as a leader in the system simulation, requirement, and performance specification assessment of technical risk, and analysis of test and evaluation results. You will advise on, administer, or perform professional, scientific, or technical work concerned with engineering or architectural projects, facilities, structures, systems, processes, equipment, devices, material or methods. You will be responsible for program development and/or oversight of a major NAVAIR Component/Command level program (or programs) relating to research, development, testing, evaluation, innovation, and reengineering. You will develop and review program technical and mission documentation providing authoritative input and advice on all engineering and technical issues and ensuring engineering requirements are met. You will develop project planning objectives for engineering development of current and long-range programs. You will Integrate cost estimates with program plans (schedules, development requirements), test and evaluation requirements, projected problems, etc.,) into a total acquisition POM and budget.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or pay band DP-04 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. as a professional GENERAL ENGINEER performing duties such as: 1) Perform duties as a Lead Systems Engineer/Lead Technical Domain Subject Matter Expert for assigned systems providing authoritative systems engineering or senior-level engineering technical domain input and advice to systems engineering and to the program management leadership; 2) Experience leading the development and incorporation of Systems Engineering work products or technical domain work products required to satisfy, complement and inform the DoW System Acquisition program management process milestones, artifacts, strategic planning, risk characterization and decision making on major weapon systems; 3) Lead the incorporation and use of the various and broad resources to support engineering development, planning and testing for assigned systems; 4) Experience in leading engineering, technical, acquisition, and sustainment support personnel and teams.
