IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)
What you'd do
You will serve as an IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) in the Submarine Cyber Support Branch of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14. This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13, Step 10; currently $144,457
Major duties
You will provide direct technical assistance and subject matter expertise in Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical System (SWFTS) Information Assurance (IA) posturing. You will provide distance support as needed, inspects and validates technical documentation for posture transitions, directly interfaces with PMS 425 for crew training You will represent the Type Commander (TYCOM) at meetings and advises lower echelon Commanders on SWFTS IA related issues. You will ensure shipboard compliance and oversight to deploying and returning Pacific Fleet submarines to meet all IA requirements. You will serve as a staff advisor and provide technical support and guidance.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or NT-04 band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector with Submarine network experience (both classified and unclassified). Examples of qualifying experience include: Demonstrated experience in Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS).
