Major duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Management and Program Analyst, you will use your knowledge of and experience with ASPR to optimize business results and customer experience by: Assessing the management efficiency and effectiveness of ASPR/IBMSC, evaluating program policy, regulations and laws; reviewing proposed legislation; troubleshooting organizational issues; and proposing solutions to improve program performance and mitigate operational risks. Conducting analytical and evaluative studies of administrative management systems, work processes, resource utilization, and decision-making processes; evaluating alternative courses of action and develops value-added changes where warranted. Preparing comprehensive reports and project plans that include milestones, timetables, risk management, quality control and assurance measures, continuous audits, evaluation procedures, and progress tracking mechanisms for projects and programs. Identifying and analyzing organizational issues, problems, and challenges; formulating and evaluating courses of action; drawing conclusions based on relevant facts; and recommending solutions involving efficiency, effectiveness, organizational design, workload management, and administrative functions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of operations to meet program objectives; Evaluating findings from studies and recommending more efficient and effective ways to manage workloads; Developing and facilitating the use of monitoring mechanisms to track the progress of major projects; and Conducting comprehensive management studies to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
