What you'd do

About the Position: This position is located at Andersen Air Base, Guam. Federal employees in Guam are currently entitled to receive a 11.88% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary (amount is subject to change). Some Federal employees are entitled to a 20% Post Differential Allowance if eligible (subject to change). The salary listed is based on a full-time 40 hours per work week schedule. This position is Part-time/Seasonal, 30 hours per pay period.

Major duties

Assist in monitoring the school safety and security programs to ensure compliance with program requirements of DoWEA and the supporting military installation. Serve as property custodian maintaining a perpetual inventory of non-expendable property and supply records for durable items in the school. Assure all supply transactions are recorded in an automated system and that copies of documents are file appropriately to maintain an adequate automated and hard-copy audit trail. Utilize supply and logistic support systems for standard requisitioning, stock, storing, records and issuing procedures. Set or revise stock levels for authorized items available through the supply system. Verify and record serial numbers upon receipt of goods, bar codes items. Assure school support requirements are prepared, edited, and submitted to the Area Director's office for the purchase of supplies and equipment. Assist Area and District personnel with physical security inspections to ensure adequate security measures are in place and adhered to.

Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. General Experience: Three months of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as: providing customer service or assistance and following standard procedures. OR Education: High School graduate (or equivalent) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience and may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 3. Then divide your total credit hours of education by the total number of credit hours required for graduation as set by your high school. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Interpersonal Skills Oral Communication Organizational Awareness Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) positions within the last 52 weeks may not be promoted more than 2 grades within the preceding 52 weeks. The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is transitioning to the Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA).
