SECURITY ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION)
What you'd do
You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the NAVY INSTALLATIONS COMMAND (CNIC) of COMNAVREG MIDLANT NORFOLK.
Major duties
You will perform a variety of security, administrative and supply assistant functions in support of the Non Guard Security organization. You will perform and/or monitor standardized aspects of established security program operations. You will prepare a variety of reports and will maintain the required records for all functions in the Non Guard Security tasks from such as Entry Control, Armory functions to include physical security functions to prevent a reoccurrence of problems. You will use knowledge of Non-Guard Security supply requirements to ensure supply support for the organization. You will review requisitions, supporting documents, and reference material to determine priority supply action required, the status of action, changes in requirements and unexpected requirements, and to expedite delivery of urgently required items.
What you need to qualify
Qualified Typist: This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing and maintaining a variety of documents and records according to established guidelines ; 2) Responding to information requests for personnel actions; 3) Requisitioning supplies; and 4) Utilizing office equipment (e.g personal computer, fax machine, scanner, etc) to perform administrative tasks.
