Major duties

You will conduct program planning, short and long range, and evaluates progress for management. You will be responsible for preparation of all reports and Command briefings dealing with natural resources management and environmental affairs at the Command. You will make important decisions regarding federal and state compliance for the Command’s natural resources, and environmental programs. You will make decisions, which have significant impacts on Command mission programs, employee health and safety, and environmental protection. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental laws and regulations.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing guidance on implementing the principles and practices of wildlife habitat management, fisheries and wildlife surveys, animal damage control, threatened and endangered species management, and natural resources research, including study design and data analysis. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
