What you'd do
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 47th Force Support Squadron, located at Desert Oaks Golf Course on Laughlin AFB, Del Rio,Texas. This position is considered Flexible. This position is guaranteed a minimum of 0 hours but can work up to a maximum of 40 hours per week. You may be required to work some nights, weekends and holidays. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits.
Major duties
Sets up Golf Course and equipment for scheduled activities; records attendance; takes reservations and payments for events; notifies participants of scheduled changes; arranges for equipment , charging them out to participants, and checking them for condition on their return. Is responsible for cleanliness and availability of golf carts, range balls, and rental equipment; takes inventory of authorized equipment; and helps with group activities which require more than on staff monitor. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of golf activities, rules, and procedures. Ability to safeguard and handle cash, to calculate sales amount and make change is desirable however, no experience is required. Requires the ability to courteously deal with customers. Must be able to work varying shifts to include early morning, evenings, weekends, or holidays. Must be able to speak, understand, and read English. Successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) required. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
