What you'd do
This position is located at Joint Base Myers - Henderson Hall in Arlington, Virginia. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
Major duties
Plans and carries out assignments related to various administrative management support functions of the organization. Functions include but are not limited to matters of personnel, budget, office automation, logistics, supply, and govt. purchases. Under general supervision, uses knowledge of the organization’s programs, policies, standard operation procedures, precedents and regulatory guidelines to exercise independent judgement in providing administrative support to program management. Assists with supply and logistics, general and office administrative functions, correspondence, briefings, special projects and studies, and internal control actions. Creates and manages various databases for information gathering and reporting. Serves as the Information Technology point of contact and provides guidance and support to staff members. Performs work and oversight duties in areas pertaining to the Government Purchase Card Program, Time Labor Management, events planning etc. As the support services specialist, ensures the proper and timely completion of all assigned tasks and compliance with directives and regulations. Recommends and/or implements approved efficiency changes. Preforms other duties assigned.
What you need to qualify

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Progressively responsible work experience that includes a practical application of the above described or related work experience. Must have knowledge of military administrative management policy and procedures. Must be able to communicate in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct manner and be able to write. Must know how to design and manage recurring reports and create and manage electronic databases. Must have knowledge of military protocol procedures to plan and execute special events and functions, such as Change of Command ceremonies. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in the local commuting area. Experience MUST be clearly reflected on your Resume at the time of application to be considered.
