What you'd do
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for STRL Bachelor or Advanced Degree Candidates at STRL. Applicatons will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. Major duties
You will utilize basic knowledge of Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) Radios, SATCOM Systems, Modems, Antennas/Apertures, Data Links, Analog/Digital Communication principals and practice. You will utilize the components that comprise digital and analog communication system such as radios, amplifiers, transmission lines, antennas and filters. You will read and understand system specification, industry standards and apply them to system design, development and test. You will conduct RF system Analysis (SATCOM RF Link Budgets, Co-Site analysis). You will review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Knowledge of Basic Electrical and Electronic Engineering principles; 2. Basic RF and Microwave knowledge and application; 3. Demonstrated skill in Networking Architecture and Network Transport principles; 4. Ability to read and understand system specification, industry standards and apply them to system design, development and test; 5. Ability to Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military SATCOM communications systems; 6.Conducting RF system Analysis (SATCOM RF Link Budgets, Co-Site analysis); 7. Specification development and review, system interoperability, system re-design/re-configuration, and sustainment.
