What you'd do

You will serve as a General Engineer in the PMS 377 Amphibious Warfare Program of DPAE Expeditionary & Mine Warfare .

Major duties

You will coordinate with engineers and technical experts on matters affecting procedures for handling GFE/GFI with internal organizations. You will work with engineers and technical experts to identify, coordinate and control alternative ship candidate technical characteristics, and cost and technical trade-off studies. You will provide engineering and technical input as the liaison between technical teams. You will identify, resolve, and manage technical risks, revising policy and regulatory guidance for use by others. You will provide engineering and technical guidance to evaluate work products prepared by contractors, field activities, and/or technical specialists consistent with the terms of approved contracts and Federal Acquisition Regulations.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to next lower grade level/pay band NH-03 (GS-13) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer managing cost, schedule, and/or technical (performance) aspects of a major shipbuilding or weapon system acquisition program.
