ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the ACQUISITION SUPPORT BRANCH, BUSINESS OPERATIONS DIVISION, BUSINESS DIRECTORATE of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION.
Major duties
You will serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for services/material procurements supporting the department. You will provide analytical and administrative services related to acquisition and contract management. You will carry out administrative functions in support of the day-to-day operations of awarded procurements. You will be responsible for assisting both the Contracting Officer (KO) and the technical codes in planning, soliciting, administering and exercising financial, programmatic and technical oversight on contracts, task orders and other procurements. You will participate in pre-award activities to help customers define their contractual requirements and formulate the necessary procurement documents. You will carry out fiduciary oversight functions on awarded procurements; track funding to ensure their proper application to contractual tasking; review and approve invoices; and monitor financial expenditures on procurements. You will ensure that the contractor is in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and contract provisions, including those related to safety, security, and environmental requirements.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: interpreting acquisition policy and regulations to formulate contract strategy, identify and improve contracting efficiencies, and collect information for and present briefings relative to procurements.
