Major duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Management and Program Analyst, you will: Review and evaluate managerial policies and procedures to determine gaps where additional guidance is needed and analyzes the impact of new or proposed legislation on agency operations. Examine current organizational assignments in terms of program changes to identify overlaps or the need for consolidated functions to achieve maximum utilization of staff and makes recommendations to the supervisor. Develop, analyze, and evaluate new or modified program/management policies, regulations, goals, or objectives. Identify and analyze issues, problems, and challenges facing the organization; formulates and evaluates possible courses of action for resolving them; draws conclusions based on relevant facts; and recommends solutions to organizational leadership. Provide expert authoritative analysis and evaluation of work processes and policies, programs, management practices and work operations taking into full consideration complex legislative, programmatic and management issues and problems. Compile data and prepares complex administrative and management reports that emanate from the agency or higher echelons in the organization.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Evaluate workflow, processes and procedures to develop Standard Operating Procedures, processes, guides to ensure efficient and effective flow of organization's executive level-controlled operations. Implement quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze an organization's administrative management functions assessing problems in coordination, reoccurring delays in completing action items, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies to make recommendations on needed system and process improvements. Lead work groups and/or initiatives to identify and resolve operational issues from changes in federal processes and procedures. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
