FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN
What you'd do
You will serve as a GG-09 Financial Technician under the Executive Director at NAVIOCOM Georgia responsible for assisting with the management control and execution of financial and resource related functions. This position is located in Fort Gordon, GA of NAVY INFO OPERATIONS CMD GEORGIA.
Major duties
You will assist with account maintenance and accounting support work requiring a basic understanding of accounting systems, policies, and procedures to examine, verify, maintain, and reconcile accounts and accounting data. You will provide technical support for the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and custody of cash items which includes handling cash items or use of cash accountability control methods. You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations for goods and services provided to or by the Government. You will determine pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government. You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintain ledgers, budget formulation, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GG/GS-08) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as: (1) Assisting with account maintenance and accounting support work requiring a basic understanding of accounting systems, policies, and procedures to examine, verify, maintain and reconcile accounts and accounting data. (2) Providing technical support for the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and custody of cash items which includes handling cash items of use of cash accountability control methods. And (3) Examining documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, and compliance with regulations for goods and services, provided to or by the Government.
