INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the Electro-Optic (EO) and Special Mission Sensors Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Major duties
You will define, develop, and coordinate program plans for the development, manufacture and support of these advanced systems. You will plans the approach and design using quantitative methodologies for evaluating experimental upgrades to existing EO/IR sensors, design of EO/IR systems using COTS technology, including the integration into both fleet and test aircraft. You will provide technical recommendations regarding Naval performance specifications utilizing the Systems Engineering Process. You will be a subject matter expert on a multidisciplinary team to develop, evaluate and experiment with EO/IR systems.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience in electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) systems engineering/ 2.) Experience in managing and leading a team of engineers/scientists. 3.) Strategic thinking and identifying technology maturation strategies and allocating resources to proactively meet the requirements of the team. 4.) Overseeing the lifecycle management of one or more systems.
