What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the G4 of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.

Major duties

You will serve as the Assistant Chief of Staff providing oversight over the Integrated Logistical Support (ILS) physical Inventory program within the maintenance management, commercial, prepositioning and stock readiness. You will provide direction and guidance in planning, financial management, production control, scheduling, mobilization planning, engineering, maintenance support, supply chain, and contract management. You will analyze techniques pertaining to management and economic analysis, accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will develop and evaluate effectiveness of new or modified program objectives and operations and identify new program needs for short and long range planning. You will provide expert technical leadership, staff coordination, and consultation on business strategies affecting management of inventory and maintenance management operations. You will use military organization, protocol, procedures, and command relationships to coordinate matters of policy, priorities, realignment of project plans, and negotiate agreements. You will ensure Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Plan and Mission Assurance responsibilities are executed. You will use advanced logistic concepts, principles, and practices to apply experimental theories and new developments to command level problems. You will prepare comments and/or recommendations on directives, orders, and instructions for life cycle logistics management. You will advise on goals and objectives, assign and reassign logistical personnel to meet changing workloads and projects, and provide direction and/or guidance for short and long term workload planning for highly technical programs.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Directing a senior, multi-functional workforce enforcing strict accountability over strategic level supply, property, and financial audit readiness programs for an industrial base modernization; subject matter expert problem-solving an Integrated Logistical Support (ILS) planning and to resolve complex materiel readiness challenges; analyze, interpret, review, consult, and implement policies, directives, instructions affecting logistical operations; and negotiate with senior executive officials to build consensus, secure resources, and drive strategic solutions.
