What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION/RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT) within the Staffing Branch in the Human Resources Division (HRD) of OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATION. Major duties

You will utilize a wide range of HR practices, laws, regulations, and policies, and precedent sufficient to provide expert HR management advisory and technical services on complex customer functions and work practices. You will conduct detailed analytical methods to identify, evaluate, and recommend in-depth alternatives with impact analyses to management to find appropriate HR solutions. You will use both standard and non-standard operating practices or high modified HR work procedures for delivering effect HR services to Secretariat customers. You will provide customer service and problem-solving capability to Executive- level customers in the Navy Secretariat. You will serve as a senior HR consultant to organization leadership providing advice and guidance to managers and employees at all levels on HR issues impacting the organization. You develop long and short-range staffing planning to meet forecasted mission requirements, human capital losses, changes in critical competencies availability of candidates. You will be managing the Talent Acquisition and Compensation services for activities within the Secretariat. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities and prepare schedules for the completion of work, assign work to subordinates based on priorities, and evaluate the work performance of subordinates.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience directing a variety of complex technical and administrative work related to federal civilian recruitment. Experience providing classification determinations and guidance on federal civilian position management. Experience supervising personnel on the execution of procedures for federal recruitment and onboarding.
