LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT, CODE N977 MARITIME INDUSTRIAL SUPPORT.
Major duties
You will understand the complex relationships in life cycle logistics support planning, acquisition policy, supportability analysis, and program management and represent Public/Private Industrial Support Division. You will respond to critically required and high-risk material items reported by the shipyards, regional maintenance centers or other maintenance activities, or identified internally or by other means. You will be required to report material and workload status to NAVSUP WSS senior leadership, multi echelons of Naval Sea Systems Command, organic activities and the shipyards and/or regional maintenance centers. You will develop and assess shipyard availability requirements for Maritime Industrial Support and coordinate within the Division and other operating codes for material support.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a Logistics Management Specialist. Specialized experience should demonstrate: 1) The employee must understand end-to-end supply chain and lifecycle logistic support as it relates to assigned material, systems, platforms and/or projects. 2) The employee must be able to coordinate with internal and external partners in order to analyze and communicate supply system performance. 3) The employee must be able to perform analysis and inform mission partners on supply chain barriers and possible solutions. 4) The employee must be able to develop and implement process improvement changes. The employee must be able to lead a team to work collaboratively.
