About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Kirtland Lanes Bowling Center, Kirtland AFB, NM. This position will be filled as Regular Full-Time employment category, guaranteed 35.0 hours/week. Regular category positions may be eligible for benefits such as Medical/Dental, Group Life, 401(k), and AFNAF Retirement. Tour of duty for this position may include evenings, nights, and weekends.
Major duties
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The purpose of this position is to assist the Activity Director with a variety of clerical, administrative and cash handling duties which may include but not limited to the following: programs and administrative duties, to include assisting with special events and programs. Typescorrespondence, reports, and other materials from rough draft, clean or corrected copy, including statistical and financial data. Composes correspondence from brief verbal or written instructions of the supervisor. Responsible for correct spelling, paragraphing, grammar, format, etc. Maintains schedules of classes/trips and registration logs. Prepares proper documentation for payment of instructors and consignment sales. Provides information and performs customer service whenrequired. Prepares daily financial documentation, i.e., Consolidated Cashier's Reports and forward to the NAF Accounting Office for final processing and makes the daily deposit to the Central Cashier. Keeps correspondence and financial files; prepares end of month paperwork for payment of vendors. Assists with end of month inventories. Trains new employees on proper cash handling procedures and daily financial paperwork. Prepares receiving reports on all merchandise. Logs receiving reports, makes copies, and turns in originals to the Accounting Office. Coordinates with the Accounting Office on mid-month and end of month account detail listings and operating statement. Inputs all payroll information into the TMX weekly, turns in bi-weekly payroll fileand monthly accrual disks to the NAF Accounting Office. Maintains continuity, self-inspection, safety, ORM, resource protection, and training books. Creates and maintains a file plan and filing system IAW established procedures. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have knowledge of computer systems used for basic entry and retrieval operations. Demonstrated experience with Excel and Word are required. Experience in clerical or office work of any kind. Ability to operate a calculator and other routine office equipment.
