Project Executive
What you'd do
As a Project Manager (Project Executive/Construction), you will be responsible for overall project leadership of the most complex, large, politically high risk design and construction projects. Location of position: General Services Administration (GSA)- Public Building Services (PBS) - Office of Program and Project Management (PX) We are currently filling two vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Major duties
The incumbent assures timely accomplishment of all tasks assigned to project team members, assuring that each team member has an integral role in developing the final product or service, articulates and communicates to team members problems to be solved or program issues under review, ensures the organization's "vision" is integrated into the projects goals. Resolves problems or conflicts impeding progress, assuring that contractor and agency staff work effectively toward timely completion of a project. Provides critical analysis of pressing issues and required policy recommendations to management officials in formulating decisions regarding changing responsibilities or business needs, as well as in the design/development and evaluation of the ongoing and/or new program issues. Provides leadership, expert assistance and authoritative advice on interpretation of governing policy in the designated program area. Works with other recognized technical experts within the agency to develop a coordinated approach to unique problems or areas in which PBS, GSA, other Federal agencies or the private sector have previously not been involved or concerned.
What you need to qualify

The GS-14 salary range starts at $125,776 per year. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience: Directing, managing, and providing expert oversight for a diverse portfolio of complex federal projects, including multi-million dollar design and construction activities across business lines. Supervising or leading project teams through formal or informal authority examples include planning and assigning work, evaluating performance, mentoring staff, resolving conflicts to achieve organizational objectives. Serving as a technical expert and stakeholder liaison by providing authoritative guidance on project management practices, communicating complex technical information to senior leadership and customer agencies to facilitate successful project delivery.
