As a Program Manager (Digital Learning Accessibility Program Manager), you will oversee Section 508 testing for all distance learning programs, managing processes and teams, and ensuring accessibility compliance for adult education and professional development courses.
Major duties
Manages and oversees agency-wide Section 508 accessibility compliance for distance learning programs, coordinating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure alignment with agency needs. Designs, develops, and delivers high-quality accessibility training and development opportunities for employees, leveraging various tools and assessments. Conducts manual and automated Section 508 accessibility testing of digital learning products, including eLearning, online, and PDF materials, using industry-standard tools and screen readers. Advises senior leadership, project managers, and program offices on accessibility risk management, 508 compliance policies, and best practices, and leads the intake and evaluation of training programs. Trains and leads lower-level testers, collaborates with developers and designers to remediate accessibility barriers, and evaluates program effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing all of the following duties: Conducting manual and automated accessibility testing of digital products, leveraging technology to enhance digital learning and program efficiency. Managing accessibility compliance and training programs, including developing project plans and collaborating with stakeholders. Designing, developing, and delivering training or professional development programs related to digital learning. Analyzing digital product standards in order to advise leadership on compliance and risk management. Collaborating with developers and designers to identify accessibility challenges, communicating technical information and advising product improvement.
