What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST in the headquarters element of the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory/Futures Directorate (MCWL/FD) under the Deputy Commandant of the Marine Corps for Combat Development and Integration.

Major duties

You will serve as the Assistant Chief of Staff G3 / Director of Operations for all staff and subordinate divisions within the command. You will exercise full supervisory and managerial authority for the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of multiyear Marine Corps activities. You will enable decision-making by conferring with the Commanding General and other key staff regarding opportunities, challenges, and emerging changes in the assigned mission. You will monitor and evaluate MCWL/FD programs and operations to assure that plans are followed to meet objectives, goals, and strategic direction You will lead the G-3 in integrating and synchronizing MCWL/FD activities by supervising six teams of uniformed officers, civilian employees, and contractors, episodically supported by personnel from other commands. You will lead six subordinate branches engaged in Current Operations; Plans and Assessments; Scenarios and Modeling, Simulations, and Analysis; Joint and Naval Concepts; Futures; and Concepts. You will exercise the full range of supervisory and managerial authorities for civilian personnel, officer and enlisted personnel, and assigned Reserve Officers.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Leading teams in a highly dynamic environment; 2) Integrating and synchronizing organizational activities by applying a highly specialized, multi-disciplinary knowledge of organization concepts, experimentation, wargaming, innovation, technology and acquisition across the spectrum of warfighting functions and capability portfolios; 3) Managing overall planning, direction, and timely execution of multiyear organizational activities; and 4) Conferring with key staff regarding opportunities, challenges, and emerging changes in the assigned mission to enable executive level decision-making..
