About the Position: This is a Realty Specialist position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, Real Estate Division in Fort Worth, TX. This announcement is for current, permanent Army employees that would like to be considered for a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade. Major duties

Serve as the Real Estate Division representative for civil works projects managed under the Project Management Business Process (PMBP). Develop project budgets, milestones, timelines, cooperative agreements, and other planning reports. Implement the acquisition of necessary real estate interests for civil works and military projects. Study plans and design memoranda and directs the preparation of right-of-way drawings in the most cost-effective manner. Represent Real Estate Division at meetings with local sponsors and other local interests regarding the real estate aspects of civil works projects. Conduct field investigations to determine the description, extent, and type of land or improvements to be acquired.

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees Applying on Time-Limited Assignments In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes at least 2 out of 3 of the following: 1) Analyzing real estate plans, design memoranda, or right-of-way drawings for a real estate office; OR 2) Advising clients on the acquisition or disposal of real estate; OR 3) Conducting field investigations to determine what land or improvement will be acquired for a real estate office. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
