What you'd do

This position is located at NAF Financial Management Branch, Fort Stewart, GA. This is a Regular Full-Time position with a minimum work week of 40 hours and eligible for benefits. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

Major duties

Schedules and coordinates independent observer inventories for resale/prepaid merchandise and fixed assets. Contacts activities to schedule the independent observer inventories. Prepares purchase request for contracted independent observers. Performs unannounced cash counts and internal control reviews for all non-appropriated fund activities. Documents all cash counts and prepares reports for division chiefs regarding results of the review. Conducts physical security inspections in conjunction with unannounced cash counts to ensure key control, fire and safety inspections, and facility security meet regulatory requirements. Coordinates and prepares appropriate documentation for new change fund or petty cash fund administrators. Maintains change fund and petty cash fund lists and distributes as required. Develops instructions for assigned areas of responsibility. Performs other clerical/administrative functions and duties as assigned.

What you need to qualify

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Demonstrated work experience related to the duties of the position that included: 1. Demonstrated knowledge and sill in computer spreadsheet and work processing applications. 2. Current valid driver's license. 3. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. 4. Demonstrated math and analytical skills at a level to compute inventory quantities and evaluate variances. 5. Background and experience in accounting and cash handling. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Has at least two years of experience in MWR programs. Applicants who meet the Minimum qualifications, & Highly Preferred Criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list.
