GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a General Supply Specialist in the Programs Management Branch, Support Management Division, Nuclear Reactors Supply Chain Management Department, of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Major duties
You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Program Manager for Nuclear Reactor Program (NRP) support requirements. You will perform a variety of management and analysis functions. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs), Desk Guides, and Memorandums of Understanding (MOAs) related to the different functional areas within the branch. You will interpret NRP policy directives for operating requirements and develop/provide guidance as necessary to procedures/techniques to be used in a variety of work situations.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing the Weapon Systems Support Program (WSSP) and Nuclear Reactor Program (NRP) support files. Ensuring absolute data integrity for all incoming automated requests from PVR-38 and NAVSEA 08 to guarantee critical nuclear part requirements are met. Directing the NRP Files Maintenance & Cataloging Team and the ADP Analysis Support Team. Overseeing critical data systems including PIPS, SLDP, DLIS files, and NSN assignments, while resolving complex inconsistencies across DLA items, COSAL issues, ship alterations, and procurement workflows. Authoring, maintaining, and refining Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs), Desk Guides, and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs). Analyzing operational data to develop workflow recommendations, resolving unique provisioning/inventory bottleneck issues, and coordinating with Program Managers and Supply Planners. Designing and distributing data-driven Business Intelligence reports utilizing EBS, Power BI, Crystal Reports, and SAS to identify backlog issues. Compiling and presenting monthly metrics to Executive Leadership during Internal Process Reviews (IPR) and delivering key statistics directly to NAVSEA 08H. Fully executing the Program Support Inventory Control Point (PSICP) concept to eliminate process inefficiencies. Reviewing and executing PVR-38 transactions for Nuclear and HM&E components, ensuring absolute accuracy of technical data on Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD), and resolving discrepancies via CDAs and CPR LogLARs.
