Major duties
As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Supervises staff engaged in substantive professional, technical, or administrative work while ensuring timely performance of satisfactory volumes and quality of work. Provides advice to the Director and the CFO with expert advice on resource planning and administration, budgetary and legislative matters, and annual audits. Develops, manages, and reports on the agency performance measures, linking them to the PPBE process Conducts studies and analysis, and the validation of programmatic models, helping to refine data-driven decisions Provides advice and assistance to the Budget Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on agency-wide strategic planning, formulation, presentation, justification, and execution of the agency's budget. Develops proposed appropriation language in support of new or revised program and budgetary requirements.

You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Identifies and analyzes trends in receipt, obligations, or expenditure of funds to ensure objectives of the annual financial plan, and that available funds are used effectively to support program objectives. Advises the executive staff and program managers in planning, implementing, and assessing agency-wide programs of strategic planning. Implement budgetary policies affecting the financing and accomplishment of major programs. Plans, organizes, and directs a team and/or task force across organizational lines ensuring realistic milestones are established. Conducts strategic cost modeling and analysis to inform the PPBE decision-making process. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
